Local Business Leaders Teach Entrepreneurship to Lynn University Students
Boca Raton, FL: Local business leaders spent time with Undergraduate and Graduate Students at Lynn University’s Internship Career Fair on September 15, 2016. Over 47 local business participated. The only Real Estate professional in attendance was Dannaliz Proenza, PA Licensed Realtor.
All Licensed Realtors are small business owners. In order to be successful a Realtor must have an entrepreneurial drive. Mrs. Proenza message to Lynn’s Students focused on two main points: An entrepreneur has to be able to do anything and everything the business might need. For example, said Mrs. Proenza, “my responsibilities include research, analysis, marketing plans, financial strategies, investment opportunities, and evaluating tax ramifications. However, part of my job is to also make sure a property is clean and ready for a showing.”
The second aspect of Mrs. Proenza message to the students is about defining goals. An entrepreneur’s success directly correlates to defining concrete, realistic and attainable goals. Success depends on commitment to reaching your goals. “To achieve my goals as a business owner I must create relationships and professional networks.” Said Mrs. Proenza, Licensed Realtor. Students were surprised to learn now many different entities are involved in a real estate transaction and how the symbiotic relationships between all of them can lead to a successful business enterprise.
